ELIGIBILITY: This Canadian Tire Tap your way to a $1,000 Canadian Tire 'Money'
On The Card® awards Contest (the "Contest") is conducted by Canadian
Tire Financial Services Limited ("Canadian Tire") (the "Sponsor"), and is open to
all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province of
residence at the time of entry and who have a valid Options® MasterCard®
Card. All employees or agents of Canadian Tire, Canadian Tire Financial Services
Limited, Canadian Tire Associate Dealers, Canadian Tire Petroleum Agents (collectively,
the "Canadian Tire Parties"), and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries,
agents, and any entity involved in the production, implementation, promotion,
administration or fulfillment of the Contest (collectively, the "Administrators")
and members of their immediate families and individuals living in the same households
of each of the above are ineligible to participate in the Contest. No eligible
Options® MasterCard® (the "Card") purchase entrant may be declared
a winner unless his/her individual card account matches exactly the Card account that is
drawn in the Contest, is open and in good standing at the time of verification. Transactions
involving corporate Cards are also ineligible.
HOW TO ENTER:
There are two ways to enter:
(i) Existing Canadian Tire Options® MasterCard® cardmembers
must "tap" their PayPass enabled Card on the PayPass reader when making
a purchase at any PayPass-enabled merchant at any PayPass enabled merchant,
from March 24 to July 31, 2008 (the "Contest Period"). Each "tap" will earn the customer
one entry into a draw for a chance to win one of 25 prizes of $1,000 Canadian Tire 'Money'
On The Card® awards. There is no maximum number of purchase entries that may be
submitted. Cash advances, fees, convenience cheque transactions, balance transfers, automated
teller transactions and any other transaction deemed ineligible by the Sponsor, including without
limitation, purchases made by unauthorized card users and purchases completed with cards that
are stolen, fraudulent, tampered with or otherwise altered, shall not qualify for entry in the Contest.
(ii) To enter without purchase or obligation, existing Canadian Tire Options®
MasterCard® cardmembers should write their name, complete address, telephone number and the
first eight digits of their Options MasterCard account number for verification purposes, on a plain piece
of paper and mail it postage prepaid to The Canadian Tire Tap your way to $1,000 Canadian Tire 'Money' On
The Card® awards Contest, 5500 North Service Road, 6th Floor, Burlington, Ontario Canada L7L 6W6.
Only one entry per envelope allowed and all entries must be postmarked by 11:59 p.m. (ET) July 31st, 2008,
in order to be eligible. Contestants are solely responsible for the timely receipt of no purchase entries
in accordance with the foregoing.
RANDOM DRAW: There will be 25 random draws from all the eligible entries received on or before July 31st,
2008, (contest "Closing Date"). The draw will be made on September 17th, 2008, at which time the
cardmember's Options MasterCard Card account must be in good standing. Selected entrants will be
notified by telephone and in order to be declared a winner, selected entrants must first correctly answer,
without assistance of any kind, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, comply with all
Contest Rules, and sign declaration and release forms confirming compliance with the Contest Rules
and acceptance of the prize as awarded. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within seven (7)
days of the random draw, or does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected
entrant does not comply with the Contest Rules, or for any other reason the prize cannot be awarded,
he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the prize and another Contest entry will be randomly
selected from the remaining eligible entries until the prize has been awarded. Selection of an entrant
in any subsequent draw will be subject to the same conditions as set out in this paragraph. The declaration
and release forms to be completed by the selected entrant pursuant to the Contest Rules must be returned
to the Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the notification date indicated on the documents in order to
claim the prize, failing which the entrant will be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited. Prizes
will be awarded to applicants named as the primary account holder on the Options MasterCard (as determined
by Canadian Tire Financial Services account records).
PRIZE: Twenty five (25) Prizes will be awarded each consisting of $1,000 Canadian Tire 'Money'
On The Card® awards. The total amount will be added to each winner's Options MasterCard
Card rewards account. Each winner's Options® MasterCard® Card account must be
in good standing in order to be awarded the prize and must remain in good standing in order to redeem
the prize rewards.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, exchanged, substituted,
or redeemed for cash. In the event for any reason a prize is unavailable, the Sponsor reserves the right
to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By participating in this Contest, the selected entrant agrees:

to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which decisions shall
be final and binding;

to the unrestricted use, by the Sponsor, in their collective or individual discretion, or their agents, of his/her name and/or likeness, address, city, picture, portrait, voice, and ideas for advertising and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, other than the value of the prize offered;

to sign a publicity release granting and acknowledging the rights of the Sponsor, in their collective or individual discretion, or their agents, to publish or broadcast the selected entrant's picture, portrait, likeness, name, address, voice and statements for publicity purposes, without any further compensation, other than the value of the prize offered; and
- that, by entering this Contest, entrant releases the Sponsor and Administrators
and their respective directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries,
affiliates, suppliers, sponsor and agents from any liability for loss, harm, damages,
costs and/or expenses, arising out of or in any way connected with participation in this Contest,
participation in any prize-related activity, the awarding of the prize, the use of personal
information as aforesaid, or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize, including, without
limitation, loss, harm, damages, costs and/or expenses related to personal injuries, death,
damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or
portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from;
and entrant will sign declaration and release forms, or such other supporting documentation
that the Sponsor may request, to give effect to such release upon request by Sponsor.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the
contest period.
PRIVACY: Sponsor will use entrants' contact information provided in Contest entries for
administration of this Contest only.
ADDITIONAL TERMS: The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal
laws and regulations.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor, and no correspondence will be entered into except
with the selected entrant who will be notified by telephone or mail.
Entries are void if, in the Sponsor's sole discretion, entries are not obtained from
authorized, legitimate channels, or if they are in whole or in part illegible,
incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, forged, reproduced, mutilated, counterfeit,
tampered with, produced in error or obtained through fraud or theft ("Invalid Entries").
There will be no additional communication with the entrants that submit Invalid Entries.
All entries are subject to verification and validation by the independent judge. The Sponsor and
Administrators and their respective agencies are not liable for printer errors or issuance of
any void, misprinted or irregular forms.
These are the Official Contest Rules. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in
order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any
other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to amend or terminate
all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.
QUEBEC RESIDENTS
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be
submitted to the Regie des alcools des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting
the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties
reach a settlement.
